Another torture method most notably associated with the Spanish Inquisition, it was also known as the “Inquisition Chair.” Essentially, it was an iron chair covered in 5~ cm nails from head to toe, which the victim would be forced to sit on naked. As they did so, the nails would penetrate every corner of their body. If this did not draw out a confession, then bricks and likewise heavy objects would be placed onto the victim in order to force them further down onto the nails, compounding the torment until even the bravest and most resilient men were forced to submit.
