Film director Nicolas Roeg attempted to cast Kate Bush as the female lead in the famous 1986 film ‘Castaway’ which would have seen her star opposite the brilliant Oliver Reed. Amanda Donohoe was eventually to take the role. Kate did however provide the opening song for the film with “Be Kind My Mistakes”.
